Blue World Studios Portraits

We have a different take on portraits than many traditional photographers. We want to avoid the posed, uncomfortable look of the standard portrait, and instead shoot for photos that look relaxed and comfortable, and that capture your true personality. There are two keys to getting a portrait that captures the real you:

• The right setting. Everyone is most comfortable in their own element. We like to take photos of you in the places you enjoy: your back yard, the park, etc. If we decide to work in our studio, you won’t see the standard brown background. We’ll create a comfortable setting where the focus is on you.

• An easy atmosphere. Many of us just aren’t at home in front of the camera. Many people who think they don’t photograph well think so because their nervousness before a camera makes them close their eyes or look awkward. We don’t rush the process of taking your portrait, so you can be relaxed and settle in to the session. You may want to have family members or friends present during the sitting -- sometimes just talking or joking around creates the best portraits that bring out the real you.

So if you’re looking for a standard-issue grey background, chain-store portrait, we are probably not the place for you. But if you want a portrait that doesn’t look like all the others and captures the real you at an affordable price, we just might be what you’re looking for.
