In 1996 we went on our honeymoon to a tiny island in the Belize Barrier Reef. Somewhere during the three hour boat ride to the island, we passed over an area of deep ocean. Far from shore with a horizon filled with nothing but ocean, we were mesmerized and humbled by the deepest, most beautiful blue water we had ever seen. That deep blue color has been significant to us ever since.

Blue is the color of the sky and water. In artwork it symbolically links Heaven and Earth, the divine and the mundane. Blue has a universally calming effect and conveys trust ('true blue'), fidelity, optimism ('blue skies'), quality ('blue ribbon'), peace and inspiration. In holistic healing, blue is the color of the throat chakra, which is associated with expression, creativity & truth.

So why "Blue World"? Because blue is a symbol of so many things that we value. We like to fill our world with these things: optimism, peace, creativity and honesty. Blue is where we work: where the everyday meets the infinite, where the mundane meets inspiration.
